Description
Give your editorial board the page it deserves
The stock OJS “Editorial Team” page is a plain list of names. For a serious academic journal, that page is also a trust signal — readers, prospective authors, and indexing services check it to decide whether your journal is credible. Editorial Board Manager turns that page into a curated, photo-based showcase of your editors with full academic profile coverage, in minutes, without touching a template file.
What you get
- Six display templates. Sectioned Cards (default), Hierarchical, Compact, Magazine, Table and Atlas. Switch with one click — no theme edits, no developer required.
- Photo-based editor cards. Upload portraits through a dedicated admin panel with automatic size and format validation. Fallback to initials when no photo is provided.
- Eight academic profile platforms per editor: Email, ORCID, LinkedIn, Personal Website, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Scopus ID and Web of Science ResearcherID. Each renders as a clean, recognisable icon.
- Bilingual content out of the box. Every editor has Turkish and English fields for name, title, affiliation, specialty and biography. Add additional languages by enabling them in OJS — no plugin changes needed.
- Built-in categories. Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors, Section Editors, Advisory Board, Technical Editors, Language Editors, Former Editors, Guest Editors. Or create your own.
- Country flags and specialty tags. A glance is enough to read the geographic and disciplinary spread of your board.
- Drag-and-drop ordering. Reorder editors inside each category with a mouse. No more SQL juggling.
- CSV import. Onboard an existing board in bulk. A sample CSV is included.
- Schema.org structured data. Each editor is marked up as a
Personso Google Scholar and other indexers can read your editorial team correctly. - Sidebar integration. A Manage Editorial Board entry appears in the OJS admin sidebar (next to Submissions, Issues, Users) as soon as the plugin is enabled.
- No theme edits. The plugin overrides
